Now the JEE Main aspirants are given another chance to make the corrections in the application form, National Testing Agency (NTA) has restarted the JEE Main application form correction facility amid COVID-19. The extended date to make the corrections is now April 14 (5 PM); however, the candidates can deposit the fees till 11:50 PM of the same date. Earlier, the JEE Main 2020 application form correction facility was made available between March 13 to 16, 2020; but now it has restarted.
The candidates need to login there JEE Main portal using their JEE Main application form number and password or date to make necessary changes in the form. Till April 14, the candidates can make certain changes, they have to pay an additional fee as well for changing some information during the JEE Main application form correction process. The candidates who have paid the registration and application fee will get access to the application form correction of JEE Main 2020.
What are the steps to make corrections in the JEE Main application form 2020?
- First of all visit the official website of JEE Main 2020, to begin with, making the changes.
- Click on Application form correction for JEE (Main) April 2020.
- Now enter your Application Number, Password and Security Pin to login.
- Now press the Login button
- Click on ‘Manage Form Particulars Correction’ to make changes in the required field
- Read the instructions carefully
- Now edit the information and save the changes
- Pay an additional fee, if needed to complete your JEE Main application process.
Details that can be corrected in the JEE Main Application Form
Personal Details: The candidates can make changes in their details if there are some spelling mistakes or something else. Details that can be changed include candidates’ name, age, gender, category, date of birth, name of the father and other, etc.
Academic Details: In case any information related to the academic details of the candidates is mentioned wrong, they can make the changes.
Change of Paper: The JEE Main aspirants are granted permission to make regarding the choice of paper as well. They can make changes from Paper I to Paper-II & Paper-III (and vice versa); also they are allowed to select both the papers as well. For doing the same, the candidates need to pay the balance fee as well.
Language of Examination: The candidates can also change the medium of the examinations; they can change the language of the exam from English to Hindi/Gujarati and vice versa.
Name, State of Eligibility and Date of Birth: The earlier choice of the allotted time can also be changed during JEE Main Application form corrections.
Category: The candidates are also allowed to change the category as well, in case they are changing from general to reserved, then they will not get any refund of fees. However, in case they change the category from reserved to general, then they are entitled to pay the balance fee.
Changes in Saved Image– The authorities have opened the image correction facility of JEE Main 2020 allowing the registered candidates to make amendments in their uploaded images (if needed) by logging in using their application number and password.
Details that CANNOT be edited using JEE Main Application Correction window
- Exam Center: The JEE Main aspirants are not allowed to make the changes in the previously selected JEE Main 2020 test centre or test city.
- Exam Mode: In case available, the aspirants can opt for online mode from Pen and paper-based but they are not allowed to do vice-versa.
Additional Fees for Correction of Details?
In case, the candidates make changes regarding the following details, they are entitled to pay additional fees.
- In case they are selecting all papers, Paper 1, Paper 2, and Paper 3
- Also if changes are made in the category; they are selecting from SC/ST/Girls/PwD to General/OBC NCL, then they have to pay additional charges for the same.

Who is eligible for JEE Main Application Form Corrections 2020?
Only those JEE Main aspirants who have completed the JEE Main 2020 registration and also paid the application fee within specified dates will be allowed to use the correction facility of the application form. In case the candidates do not complete their application forms within time are not allowed to use the correction facility. Post the completion of JEE Main application form correction process, the exam authorities will start releasing the admit card after April 15, which earlier was scheduled for March 20 for the April attempt.
