Biography of Narendra Modi
Narendra Modi’s full name is Narendra Damordaas Modi and was born on 17th September 1950 in Vadnagar, Gujarat, India. Narendra Modi is an India Politician and is a current 14th Prime Minister of our country India. He is a Member of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). He was the Chief Minister of Gujarat from 2001-2014. He is the Member of Parliament for Varanasi.
Narendra Modi’s father’s name was Damodardas Mulchand Modi and mother’s name is Hiraben Modi. He was the third children out of six children of Modi family. Modi’s father was having a tea stall in which he used to help his father but later Modi ran his own tea stall.

He was been described as an average student and a good debater with a keen interest in theatre by his teachers. He completed his higher secondary education from Vadnagar itself in 1967. He also served the affected people in Gujarat Floods during 1967. He was introduced to Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) when he was just eight years old. After graduating from school, Modi left his home because he rejected an arranged marriage. Modi travelled India for around two years and visited various religious centres. Then after coming back to Gujarat he shifted to Ahmedabad and became a full-time worker for the RSS.

In 1987, Narendra Modi professionally joined Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and entered into politics. He was appointed as General Secretary of the Party’s Gujarat Unit within a year. He performed all his tasks very well because of which BJP was showing a good growth and then in October 2001, Narendra Modi was appointed as Chief Minister of Gujarat. Modi was Gujarat’s Chief Minister for the four consecutive years.

Due to Modi’s success, fame, and style he was declared one of the candidates by Bharatiya Janata Party in 2014 general elections. After being declared as the candidate for Prime Minister, he visited whole India. Narendra Modi got highest votes and was announced as India’s 14th Prime Minister on May 26, 2014.Because of Modi’s interaction with world’s leaders has put India in a high position. India has also won hearts of many foreign investors who consider investing in India during Modi’s regime would be profitable. Many Multi National Companies has also invested in India during Modi’s regime. Modi was the first Indian Prime Minister to address British Parliament.

Narendra Modi has a great love for technology. His love can be seen by the initiative taken by “Digital India” and “Make in India”. He wants citizens of India to be technological. Despite all this, he is also a good human being. In the radio show “Mann Ki Baat”, he regularly addresses the nation.Narendra Modi is a Yoga enthusiast and always does it, no matter how busy he is. Therefore he also presented the idea of celebrating International Yoga Day during his speech as United Nations General Assembly. From then onwards International Yoga Day is celebrated on 21 June every year.
Narendra Modi focused on various policies such as economic policies, health and sanitation policies, Hindutva and education policies, foreign policies, defense policy, environment policies, governance and other initiatives. The policy of Demonetization also helped the government to bring out black money from corrupt people. There was also a policy of “Zero Corruption Tolerance”. Now the implementation of new GST Policy is also contributing a lot to our economic growth.
Narendra Modi was been recognized as the Best Chief Minister in 2007 nationwide survey by India Today. By CNN-IBN News Network, he was been awarded as “Indian of the Year” in 2014. He was been ranked as 15th most powerful person and 9th most powerful person in 2014 and 2015-16 respectively by Forbes Magazine. His achievements and recognitions never stopped. He also has his wax statue in Madame Tussaud Museum, London.
India is shining and is at accelerating the pace of growth just because of Narendra Modi. Narendra Modi is one of the finest administrators and India will see more growth in the Modi’s regime.
